Our Annual
Membership Meeting
was enjoyed by all who attended!
It was a steamy day, but we had a jovial Annual Membership Meeting this past June 7th. Members enjoyed the chance to catch up with each other as well as introduce ourselves to some new faces. Everyone enjoyed a stroll on the famous O’Leno Bridge! And many stopped into the Recreation Hall to take in the programs while enjoying some refreshments, purchasing O’Leno Tees and signing up as members.
Dan Rountree gave a very intriguing presentation about various water features located in O’Leno and River Rise. Dan is a biologist and has a keen interest in following changes in water levels and flow rates in the many springs and lakes in our parks.
Sarah Burton gave a very educational presentation about Lyme disease and the ticks that cause it, as well as ways to prevent the little critters from biting in the first place. Sarah is a Girl Scout pursuing her Gold Award this year!
We very much enjoyed their presentations!
